MINDORO BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION CENTER (MBCC)

A spectacular 360º view of Puerto Galera bay and Mt. Malasimbo. Provides a great opportunity to take photos to keep or share on social media.
MUSEUM
A space to showcase Mindoro’s unique biodiversity, history and culture for better appreciation and action to care for Mindoro’s natural history and treasures. Helps emphasize the symbiotic relationship between people and natural resources.
AMPHITHEATER
Natural terrain where arena below the natural level of the surrounding ground. An ideal space for musical performances, art exhibits and paintings.
MANGYAN HERITAGE HALL
An area where Mangyan can perform tribal activities and gatherings, showcasing their cultural heritage. A space to display/sell their produce and handicrafts
GREEN HOUSE
This space will feature the native tree species of Mindoro. Hands-on activities will be made available to the students and visitors through bio-intensive gardening, nursery, edible landscaping and tree planting
RESEARCH LAB
Unique space for scientists and researchers from international and local universities and institutions can process the specimen from key biodiversity areas in Mindoro
NATURE TRAIL
Trekking throughout the trail with various signages, places to rest along the way to facilitate imagination, pause to appreciate nature and promote creativity to thousands of children and other guests. The name of your choice will pave the way to an area of great learning fun
WELCOME AREA
Registration and holding area for all guests. The carrying capacity of the museum is 60 pax at a time and this is a premium space for exposure as all guests wait for their turn to enter the Museum.
BIODIVERSITY SIGNAGES
A good communication strategy is to educate the general public of what particular species they may encounter at the MBCC site through these biodiversity signages strategically located inside the 16-has property.
This will also serve as a guide when doing participative biodiversity monitoring while at the site.
WILDLIFE RESCUE AREA
A temporary holding facility for confiscated, abandoned or illegally traded endangered species. This could also serve as a captive breeding facility for threatened and endangered species in the future.
ECOLODGE
Supports sustainable travel. Strategically located overlooking one the most beautiful bays in the world providing a more rewarding nature-based experience, a visit to the museum creates awareness and education for researchers, teachers, tourists and guests.
DIORAMA
1) You are supporting a space where a dioarama is to be constructed as exact replicas of Mindoro's flagship species
2) Pinning a moment of learning and show deeper levels of understanding for guests
MBCFI visualizes MBCC to promote Mindoro’s natural beauty, the importance of its unique biodiversity, and its impact on society and climate change. The establishment of this iconic center will be a physical embodiment of sustainability, benefiting present and future generations by emphasizing the symbiotic relationship between people and natural resources. MBCC will be a one-story building with 600 sqm. gross floor area including facilities such as museum, library, audio-visual room, conference and training rooms, among others.
